The task was to create a stop motion animation using a word and the letters in the word had to do what the word said, we were put into groups and from then on it was survival of the fittest. Our first animation that was due within a week with no time to do was tragic and we failed so we were forced to do it again. However, with this second animation we were more prepared and had two cameras this time. I re made the letters using card, copic markers and my trusty craft knife (i hate scissors) while Frank the other team member printed off a plate from Google. We then booked the room and camera with another group and it took 45 mins total to take all of the photos needed(215 photos), compared to last time we made the letters bigger and added pins to move the mouth of the E much easier. While i moved the letters and took photos Franks job was to make sure the scissors were not in frame like last time (he failed twice) and to pull out any left over parts from the A that had gotten stuck and he also helped with trying animate the pictures but Ben came along and saved us using After Effects. After many hours of trying to render the video and making sure it wasn't over 10GB thanks to our tutor Leigh we did it.
The things i do like about the animation compared to the last one is that the frame rate is better and a lot more smoother, even the movement of the letters is more fluid and well put together. However what i still think could be improved is the reaction of the T, we could've done more throughout the entire animation not just the end. We could have given it more o fa personality and made it more afraid of the E eating the A.
